Mingle To The Music Teacher Training

This is a teaching/learning strategy. During this activity, music will be played as students start moving around the room in any way that they want to. For example, they can dance, walk, skip, etc. When the music stops, students will pair up with the person closest to them and wait for further instructions. Once all students have a partner, ask them to shake hands/high five/ fist bump to say hello to their partner. A statement/question will be read aloud to students and they will first think to themselves, and then they will discuss their thoughts with their partner. The teacher/facilitator will ask for some pairs to share their answers with the whole group. The music goes back on, students move around, and once again the music will be paused and students will find a new partner. The process repeats with a new statement/question.
