Thumbs Up - Thumbs Down Teacher Training

This is a teaching/learning strategy. The activity should be done with statement/question that require a “POSITIVE” or “NEGATIVE” response. For example, a myths and facts sheet works well with this strategy. As the teacher/facilitator reads a statement/question, students show a “thumbs up” sign if they think the statement is a fact, or a “thumbs down” sign if they think the statement is a myth.
